The second time I visited I bought some new pedals and a seat and just needed them changed out. The first time I tried to get this work done I stopped in and the technician wasn't in, so I went back the next day. I saw a young kid who was working on some bikes and asked when I could get the work done, he said he was busy and it wouldn't be for a few days. He asked me to leave the bike at the shop until he could get to it.
Ive never wrote a bad review but I think this place deserves it. Older woman who works there is super rude. Disorganized. Lack of basic manners. Never going back. I would highly recommend going anywhere else.
Not impressed with this place, and it feels like they just take advantage of college kids who can't bring a tool box to school with them. Not to mention every time I go there I have to wait 10-15 minutes because the lady who owns/works the front desk is always leaving.
The first time I went in and I paid 22$ for a brake pad adjustment and a bike tire tighten. It took 4 days to get it done, but it got done (admittedly not that well) and it didn't break the bank.
Great service! Very friendly and happy to help. Good people. Got me a great deal. Love the bike!
I was on a week long bike tour with a friend, and my rear rack broke. Couldn't continue without replacing it since it was necessary to carry a bunch of our gear for camping etc. Durham Bike & Sports was the closest bike shop, so I walked my bike there carrying all the heavy stuff from the rack. I arrived just after their business hours were over, but they were still closing up shop and a very nice grey-haired guy (wish I had gotten his name) upon hearing my situation kindly agreed to help me out anyway. I had a good rack waiting at home just a couple days ride away, so I wanted to get something cheap that would just last till then. The guy brought out an old rack off a junk bike, and even gave me a hand getting the broken rack off and the replacement one on. It got me through the last couple days of riding handily, and he only charged me $5 for the rack and nothing for the labor. He easily could've just turned me away or taken advantage of my predicament to charge me an arm and a leg, but instead he gave me exactly the quick fix I needed at a very affordable price. Very happy with the way I was treated!
Mind you changing a pair of pedals and swapping a seat doesn't take a rocket scientist. I asked if i could leave my credit card with them and borrow a wrench to do it myself, they said no.
Took my son's bike in for new pedals and a tune up. I really appreciate that it was done so quickly and for a reasonable price. I called a shop in Dover and they wanted twice as much, and could not give me an estimate for how long it would take. We'll be using DBS for our ski tuning next...
I'm a college student, I use my bike for transportation around campus and I can't leave it at a bike shop for half a week to put on lighter pedals.
