Turkey on grilled baguette w swiss cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, thousand island dressing off the hook. Chicken thumbs and fries get a thumbs up too
I've lived in Durham my whole life and Franzs has always got it right. Perfect hangover food and that's why it's usually very busy weekend mornings. Even when it's busy they get it done fast. Lately I've been getting the newly added breakfast sandwich The Alosa. If you are reading this Franz, PLEASE DO NOT TAKE IT OF THE MENU. In my opinion it's far superior then the JB which is a Franz classic. Franz has always been extremely kind to me and everyone else I know that goes. My friend goes frequently so Franz gave him a free sandwich card! He's the man.
Most understated sandwiches ever and fries are off the hook. Definition of comfort/stoner food. Everything on the menu is appetizing. Associates are very sweet. Skip the larger lunch spots unless you need to be seated and your food brought to you. If you want better quality comfort food and can appreciate a seat at any of the open air seating arrangements around campus, this joint is on point.
